How we Sailed through gamescom 2026
A few weeks have passed since gamescom, and we finally wrapped up most of the follow-ups.
But before even more time passes, we wanted to share a quick update on what the gamescom week brought to Sail.Game.

More games, more publishers
During gamescom week, more than 120 new games joined Sail.Game, and we onboarded 20+ new publishers.
That means more games to discover, more publishers to connect with, and simply more activity across the platform.
And we are not done yet, there are some big updates coming.
Sail.Game at EGDF
We also had the chance to present Sail.Game at the European Games Developer Federation General Assembly, in front of representatives of game developer associations from across Europe.
Sail.Game was the only product/platform presented there, which was a pretty big deal for us.
We also got some really nice feedback during the week. A few people who already know or use similar platforms told us that, from what they had seen, Sail.Game was by far the strongest one.
That was great to hear, especially because Sail.Game grew out of years of publishing, business development and scouting work. The publisher relationships, data and industry knowledge were there before the platform itself.
Other activities around gamescom
We co-hosted Courage Cologne, where we met developers, checked out new projects and had another Sail.Game booth.
Later in the week, Sail.Game was presented at the NRW Games Reception together with EIT Culture & Creativity as one of the successful projects they have supported.
The reception was on a boat on the Rhine. Hard to make Sail.Game more on-brand than that. :)
What now?
Gamescom gave us a lot to work with.
We are still talking to publishers, developers, investors, associations and potential partners we met in Cologne, onboarding new people and working through the feedback we collected during the week.
For everyone already on Sail.Game, this hopefully means one simple thing: more opportunities on both sides of the platform.
If you have a game on Sail.Game, now is a good time to make sure your profile is up to date.
If you are scouting for new projects, there are plenty of new ones waiting to be discovered.
And if you have feedback for us, send it our way. We are building Sail.Game for the people actually using it, so that feedback is always useful.
A few thank-yous
A lot of what we are doing with Sail.Game is also possible thanks to the partners around us.
Their support helps us keep Sail.Game more accessible, including keeping Tier 1 free after gamescom.
So if you have another game you want to get in front of publishers, add it to Sail.Game. And if you know a developer currently looking for a publisher, feel free to send them our way too.
We also want to give a special mention to ALL ANIMAL™, one of our partners and a team that can be very useful to both developers and publishers on the platform.
ALL ANIMAL™ is a CGI and animation studio focused heavily on games. They work on game trailers, cinematics, CGI, AR/VR, character design and campaign assets, and their portfolio includes work for companies such as Blizzard Entertainment, Ubisoft and Wizards of the Coast.
So if you are preparing an announcement, reveal or launch, or simply need stronger visual materials for your game, they are definitely worth checking out.
For publishers, they can also step in as an external production partner when you need extra creative or production capacity for a title or campaign.
You can check their work at allanimal.io.
And of course, a few more gamescom thank-yous:
GDACZ and everyone behind the Czech National Pavilion, for taking such good care of us throughout the week and giving us a great home base in Cologne.
MeetToMatch, for helping us connect with even more developers, publishers and industry friends before and during gamescom.
Courage, for having us as part of Courage Cologne and giving us another opportunity to meet some great teams and discover new games.
EIT Culture & Creativity, for their ongoing support and for having Sail.Game presented as one of the successful projects they have supported at the NRW Games Reception.
EGDF, for giving us the opportunity to present Sail.Game at the General Assembly and introduce what we are building to game developer associations from across Europe.
Playruo, for supporting Sail.Game and helping us make the platform more accessible to developers looking for the right publishing partners.
And finally, a big thank you to the publishers who continue to work closely with us, share their feedback and, most importantly, keep looking for great games through Sail.Game. A special shout-out to our friends at Mindscape, 101XP, RedDeer.Games, Bonus Stage Publishing, KRAFTON, Fireshine Games and 11 bit studios, among many others.

Now, back to the follow-ups and business calls. :)
